Set in a picturesque French village, Chocolat tells the enchanting story of Vianne Rocher (Juliette Binoche), an independent chocolatier who opens a small chocolate shop during Lent, challenging tradition and awakening the hearts of everyone around her. Along the way she forms unexpected friendships—including with the mysterious river traveler Roux, played by Johnny Depp—and reminds an entire village of the joy found in kindness, acceptance, and life's simple pleasures.
