Join us for a special summer evening of independent film under the stars as Tecolote Bookstore presents a screening of Che's Revenge, a rarely seen short film written by acclaimed author, journalist, screenwriter, and Todos Santos resident Rex Weiner.

Shot in Los Angeles and Todos Santos in 1986, Che's Revenge is a witty and suspenseful 27-minute film directed by Eva Gardos (American Rhapsody, Budapest Noir) and written by Weiner, whose screenwriting credits include Miami Vice, The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, and Forgotten Prisoners.

The film stars Colleen Camp (Clue, Police Academy, Valley Girl) and Jonathan Gries (Napoleon Dynamite, Get Shorty, The White Lotus).

What begins as a dinner party story about a housekeeper named Lola transforms into an unforgettable tale of revolution, romance, and deception, transporting viewers from Los Angeles to the jungles of Guatemala before arriving at a chilling conclusion.

Following the screening, Rex will join us for a live audience Q&A, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the making of the film, his years working in Hollywood and television, and the fascinating path that brought this project from script to screen.

Sandra's Tamales will be serving food, and popcorn and refreshing beverages will be available throughout the evening.

An intimate night of film, storytelling, and conversation in the Tecolote Garden.

Space is limited. Advance tickets recommended.
