Movie Night in the Book Nook - October 20th 2026 - Endless Poetry - Event Ticket
Movie Night in the Book Nook at Tecolote — After Hours
ENDLESS POETRY
At some point, you have to decide whose life you're going to live.
Alejandro Jodorowsky's Endless Poetry is his wildly imaginative, semi-autobiographical account of the moment he chose his own.
Set in 1940s Santiago, Chile, a young Jodorowsky escapes the expectations of his family and falls headfirst into the city's bohemian world of poets, painters, performers, dancers, artists and beautiful eccentrics—people determined to make art and live differently, whether or not the rest of society approves.
And because this is Jodorowsky, none of it unfolds quite like an ordinary memoir.
Reality slips into theater. Memory becomes fantasy. Streets become stages. Characters appear larger than life. It's funny, sensual, strange, philosophical, visually extravagant and deeply sincere about the ridiculous, difficult business of becoming an artist.
If you joined us for Jodorowsky's Dune, you've already met the older visionary.
This is the story of how that person came to exist.
