A documentary that refuses to behave like a documentary.

Eno is a portrait of legendary musician, producer, visual artist, and creative provocateur Brian Eno—the man whose fingerprints are all over ambient music, experimental art, David Bowie, Talking Heads, U2, Coldplay, and several decades of people asking, “What happens if we do it differently?”

Directed by Gary Hustwit, the film is itself an experiment: a generative documentary built from hundreds of hours of interviews, archival footage, music, and visual material, assembled through custom software so that no two screenings are exactly the same.

Which feels appropriate.

This is less a traditional biography than a trip through Eno’s ideas about creativity, chance, process, technology, collaboration, and the useful art of getting lost on purpose.

For artists, musicians, designers, thinkers, tinkerers, and anyone who enjoys watching someone take creativity seriously.

Tuesday nights, our upstairs Book Nook becomes a tiny after-hours cinema for documentaries, cult films, art films, music, classics, independent work, and anything else we think deserves a room, a screen, and 20 curious people.

Fresh GMO-free Amish popcorn and cold beverages will be served. Come early and browse—the bookstore stays open after hours exclusively for Movie Night guests before the film.
