Public Speaking Writer's Workshop - February 8,10,11 2027 - Registration
Read It Like You Mean It
Public Speaking for Writers & Poets with Author Charlotte Eulette
Find Your Voice. Hold the Room. Share Your Work with Confidence.
Writing the words is only part of the journey. Reading them aloud—at an author event, poetry reading, open mic, podcast, book launch, or literary gathering—requires an entirely different set of skills.
Join author and experienced public speaker Charlotte Eulette for an encouraging three-day roundtable workshop designed to help writers and poets bring their work off the page and connect confidently with a live audience.
Participants will work on:
-
Developing poise and presence before an audience
-
Strengthening vocal clarity, pacing, projection, and expression
-
Managing nervousness and remaining grounded
-
Using posture, eye contact, and body language effectively
-
Selecting and preparing material for a public reading
-
Holding an audience’s attention without overperforming
-
Presenting their work with authenticity and confidence
-
Giving and receiving constructive feedback in a supportive setting
You do not need to become a different person at the microphone. The goal is to sound like yourself—only clearer, more comfortable, and more fully connected to your words.
Writers and poets of all genres and experience levels are welcome.
Live Presentation Opportunity
Following the workshop, participants will be invited to present a selected piece live the following week at ¡Palabra! or another local venue.
This practical opportunity allows each participant to use their new skills before a welcoming audience. Final venue and presentation details will be announced during the workshop.
