An uplifting evening of music, rhythm, community, and dancing in the Tecolote garden.

Join us for a special performance by internationally celebrated musician and activist Sharon Katz & The Peace Train, whose music blends world rhythms, folk, rock, jazz, and South African influences into a joyful and deeply moving live experience.

Born in South Africa, Sharon Katz became widely known not only for her music, but for her groundbreaking work bringing young musicians together across racial divides during the final years of apartheid. Her internationally recognized project, The Peace Train, united children and performers from vastly different backgrounds through music and cultural exchange, later inspiring the award-winning documentary When Voices Meet.

A prolific songwriter, touring performer, and recording artist, Sharon’s concerts are known for their warmth, energy, message of unity, and irresistible spirit. This will be a night for connection, celebration, and movement — and yes, we’ll be making room for dancing in the garden.

Opening the evening are The Honey Dews— by Jenelle Aubade, original songs, rich harmonies, acoustic guitars, and a touch of Baja magic to begin the night.

Guests may also enjoy a specially curated dinner created by one of the area's talented guest chefs before the music begins.

Part of the Tecolote Garden Concert Series, these evenings celebrate exceptional musicians in an intimate outdoor setting where great music, delicious food, and community come together beneath the stars.
