Listening Room - Rex Weiner, Charlotte Eulette, Jenelle Aubade - March 27th 2027- Event Ticket

The Listening Room: Jenelle Aubade’s Birthday Bash

Featuring Jenelle Aubade, Rex Weiner & Charlotte Eulette

Original Music • Poetry • Stories • Birthday Celebration

Join us upstairs in the Book Nook for the final Listening Room evening of the season—and a very special celebration of Jenelle Aubade’s birthday.

Singer-songwriter Jenelle Aubade is joined by acclaimed writer Rex Weiner and poet Charlotte Eulette for an intimate night of original music, poetry, stories, wit and creative collaboration.

With only 20 seats, this is not a background-music night. The Listening Room is designed for close listening: a small audience gathered with the artists for original work and the spontaneous moments that can only happen when musicians, writers and friends share an intimate space.

Come celebrate another trip around the sun with Jenelle and an evening devoted to the songs, words, friendships and wonderfully creative community of Todos Santos.

THE ARTISTS

Singer-songwriter and Tecolote owner Jenelle Aubade writes and performs original music and has released multiple independent albums and performed throughout Baja California Sur, including the annual Tropic of Cancer Music & Arts Festival. Explore her music, lyrics and releases at jenelle.rocks.

Rex Weiner—also known as Tex Mex Rex—is a writer based in Los Angeles and Todos Santos and a co-founder of the Todos Santos Writers Workshop.

His articles have appeared in Vanity Fair, the Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, The New York Observer, The Paris Review and other notable publications. He is also the creator of rock-and-roll detective Ford Fairlane and co-author of Woodstock Census: The Nationwide Survey of the Sixties Generation.

For this special Listening Room appearance, Tex Mex Rex will perform a lively mix of written word and music, bringing his unmistakable voice, sharp observations, humor and lifetime of stories into the room.

Charlotte Eulette is a poet, writer, storyteller and co-founder of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute. She is also the director of the Baja Sur Poets & Writers League.

Her newest poetry collection, Danger Jeans: Rogue Poems, is honest, witty, fearless and vividly alive. Charlotte brings poetry off the page and into the room with readings that feel conversational, immediate and deeply connected to her audience.

THE BIRTHDAY BASH

This final Listening Room evening is also Jenelle’s birthday celebration.

Rex and Charlotte will join Jenelle for a night shaped by music, poetry, humor, friendship and a few surprises. Together, they’ll close the Listening Room season by celebrating the creative spirit that inspired the series in the first place.

ABOUT THE LISTENING ROOM

The Tecolote Listening Room is a private, limited-seat event series created for audiences who want to experience original work up close.

With just 20 guests gathered inside the Book Nook, artists can share songs, poems and stories in the way they were meant to be heard—without distance, distraction or a noisy room between performer and audience.

Every Listening Room evening is different. Once the seats are gone, the room is full.
